A SMALL TOWN ANYWHERE: SCRATCH

December 09 - December 13, 2008

Coney

December 09 - December 13, 2008
8pm

£5 (£3 concs)

Welcome to a small town anywhere. Your small town. You’ve lived here for a while. Let’s hope the powers that be haven’t discovered your filthy secret…

A Small Town Anywhere has no performers, only you and the other audience members - the playing audience. Become the residents of this small town, where amenities include a pub, a prison and a working postal service. You’ll talk to friends and strangers, mostly one-on-one. Or you can skulk in the shadows and write letters. But let’s hope you’re not forced to leave town…

BAC Supported Artists Coney are an agency of adventure and play at the forefront of developing a game-playing approach to theatre-making. Come and join in the fun by playing the game as much as you like to discover a story of a community at war with itself, inspired by Clouzot’s film Le Corbeau. Drop a line to the smalltowncrier@googlemail.com in advance if you can.

'Terrific stuff. All in all made me reflect on community, belonging and how thin the membrane is between that and hatred, death and partisanship.' Previous A Small Town Anywhere participant

A Small Town Anywhere was developed with the support of the National Theatre Studio.
