BAC BEATBOX ACADEMY

Our beginner collective of beatboxers, singers, poets and MC’s.

Jam with other young musicians and learn to beatbox, improve your vocal techniques and make your own music using nothing but your mouths - from Hip Hop and Grime to R&B and Dubstep.

Lead by Conrad Murry and Paul Cree, this term the BAC Beatbox Academy will be working in partnership with The Roundhouse Street Circus team to create an outdoor performance near the local area.

We will be collaborating with UK’s leading contemporary circus company NoFit State and a long standing community partner Queens Crescent Community Association, young emerging Roundhouse DJ’s and we will produce the live sound score for the performance.

The free performance will be a celebratory event highlighting engagement in positive activities, diversity in our communities and the potential for the arts to transform lives.

We will also be working towards more curtain raisers for the ★★★★★ show FRANKENSTEIN which will be returning to our Grand Hall as part of Occupy Festival.

We welcome all skill levels, whether you are new to singing and beatboxing or are a more experienced performer and beatboxer. Ages 12+

To get involved, please download the forms below and return to Homegrown@bac.org.uk or via post to Fiona Sowole, Battersea Arts centre, Lavender Hill, London SW11 5TN
