'Bloom sounds like a woman who has spent years in the wilderness… An earthy, unpretentious presence, she can snap a heart like a twig' Pitchfork

Kath Bloom (USA) is a kind of legend and a powerful songwriter. Her country, blues and folk are made beautifully translucent and emotive with a voice that is delicate and tender, but retains that raw emotion and hard worn truths.

The daughter of world-renowned oboist Robert Bloom, Kath was born and raised in New Haven, Connecticut where she trained as a cellist, but soon gave it up for the acoustic guitar. She strums with a claw-like hand, wearing a belt of harmonicas that she switches to match the chords of each song.

Kath Bloom will be supported by Splintered Man and Passerines.
