Whatever your event, we can find the space for you.
Battersea Arts Centre is based in what was Battersea’s old town hall and boasts a labyrinth of quirky spaces, perfect for a party or gathering that is a little bit different from your usual pub function room or hall. Here are just a few that could host your event:
The Waiting Room
A cosy living-room style space with a fireplace and historical exhibitions on the walls. It’s situated right next to the Scratch Bar and front entrance, so couldn’t be easier to find, or to get a drink! Ideal for a small to medium informal gathering.
Capacity: Standing: 40 | Seated: 20
The Scratch Bar
Can be hired out exclusively on Sundays, when you can also make use of our grand mosaic and marble foyer.
Capacity: Standing: 80 | Seated: 50
The Members’ Library
A light and airy space on the first floor, separated into a main space and ante room. Is ideal if you want to split activities, or make one area a cloakroom or a childrens' zone, with a bar and catering in the main space.
Capacity: Standing: 60 | Seated (for dinner): 40
The Members’ Bar
A bright, large first floor space, with parquet flooring, views across London on two sides and grand Victorian pillars. This room is currently available to hire in January, July, August and September only.
Capacity: Standing: 150 | Seated (for dinner): 80
The Council Chamber
This is our largest space currently; a wood panelled, high-ceiling space with two possible adjoining rooms to place your bar, catering, or a chill-out room with sofas. This room is currently available to hire in January, July, August and September only.
Capacity: Standing: 200 | Seated (for dinner): 130
All spaces mentioned are wheelchair-accessible.
