The story around participatory art is that it's great for the people participating: it gives them a chance to escape routines, form new friendships, think differently, or tell their stories to new ears. But what's the effect on the artists? And audiences?
Maddy Costa and Annie Rigby (Unfolding Theatre) invite you to an afternoon of conversation about the creative, and sometimes emotional, impact of participation. Joined by Rachel Briscoe (fanSHEN), and Conrad Murray (hip-hop musician and theatre maker), they’ll share their experiences of involving different people in theatre-making.
Everyone is welcome; whether you’re a theatre-maker, a funder, a student or an audience member, we’d love to have you in the room.
This event is in association with Unfolding Theatre’s production Putting The Band Back Together
. Made with Ross Millard
(The Futureheads), the show invites anyone who fancies playing to join the ‘house band’. Join the rehearsal at 6pm, and then onstage at 8pm for the show! Email email@example.com
