In 2013, Mike was diagnosed with a terminal illness so Victoria organised the funeral service of his dreams. A year later, doctors realised they had misdiagnosed Mike but they are going ahead with the funeral anyway...and you're invited.

Join a real-life father and daughter duo for a living memorial like no other. Based on true events, Ugly Chief is a darkly comic look at the relationship between parents and their grown-up children, and what happens when they don't see eye to eye...

During the performance, Mike Melody will run his own version of the Antiques Roadshow. Bring along your own heirlooms, curiosities and collectables for him to value!

Victoria Melody is the award-winning creator of Major Tom and Hair Peace. Fascinated by different subcultures and pastimes, she immerses herself in their communities and weaves her experiences into her shows. For Ugly Chief, she trained to be a funeral director. In the past she has become a pigeon racer, Northern Soul dancer, champion dog handler and a beauty queen.

Ugly Chief is directed by John Gordillo, an award-winning comedian who has directed shows by Eddie Izzard and worked extensively as script editor/director for comedians including Scott Capurro, Seann Walsh, Josh Widdicombe, Shappi Khorsandi, Dara Ó Briain, Paul Chowdry, Michael Mcintyre, Mark Steel and Reginald D Hunter.
