A new work in progress sharing by Raquel Meseguer, as part of The Festival of Rest & Resistance.

I have an invisible disability, and that means I need to lie down (a lot). I lie down on trains, on benches, in galleries. Sometimes I get kick back, and sometimes I get moved on.

I'm not the only one.

Telling 30 real life stories about people's attempts to rest in public, the piece weaves text and movement, humour and song.

'Welcome to Rest Room: to a space and to lives that run counter-culture.'

Dramaturgy by Laura Dannequin. Developed with support from Trinity Community Initiative.
May contain moments of complete darkness.

Scratch allows artists to test ideas and get audience feedback. The performance you will see is a work in development. Come explore and be the first to discover the future of theatre.

Running Time: Approx 35 mins
Age Recommendation: 16+
