Join us over two weeks as The Festival of Rest & Resistance takes over Battersea Arts Centre to showcase the very best of the UK's disability arts scene. Everyone is welcome. Come and discover new performance, enjoy laugh-out-loud comedy, share your ideas at an open discussion and bring your best dance moves to the Restful Rebels Ball.
Curated by Jess Thom of Touretteshero, The Festival of Rest & Resistance celebrates Battersea Arts Centre's commitment to becoming a relaxed venue and aims to provoke, disrupt and inspire change.
Touretteshero are an extraordinary company whose work creates a more inclusive world. Recent work includes a ground-breaking, neurodiverse production Not I by Samuel Beckett, Brewing in Battersea in the Grand Hall and their film Me, My Mouth and I on BBC Two.
All events are wheelchair accessible. They're also relaxed, which means that audience members are welcome to move around and make noise at any time. A chill out space is available for those wanting a break from the festivities.
