A fundraiser for Battersea Arts Centre

Join a group of national treasures, comedy legends and creative minds for a Sunday evening of conversations and comedy in our Grand Hall, for Battersea Arts Centre's biannual fundraising event.

A Grand Night Out will be a chance to connect with some of our most captivating cultural icons, and maybe even to put a question or two to them yourself.

This fundraiser will be a relaxed event, which you can read more about in the Access section of this page.

Line-up so far

We are curating unique and intriguing pairings, promising to create inspiring, intimate and entertaining conversations.

We are pleased to announce the following pairings: playwright Simon Stephens will interview his good friend and  footballing legend Gary Lineker. Artist and superhero Jess Thom will interview broadcaster Jon Snow. Mother and daughter duo Jenny Eclair and Phoebe Eclair-Powell will be in conversation, and founder of the Black Ticket Project and producer Tobi Kyeremateng will be in conversation with her good friend and creator of hit-show Barber Shop Chronicles, Inua Ellams

Plus, enjoy a special cabaret performance by Simon Farnaby, directed by the director of Paddington, Paul King. Host for the evening will be comedian, writer and broadcaster, Arthur Smith.

Buying your ticket

You can choose to buy a standard ticket without a donation, or to add a donation of £5, £20, £50 or £100 to your ticket while purchasing. If you choose to add a donation, please make sure to also tick the box labelled 'donation' whe you select your ticket type from the drop-down menu.

If you choose to make a donation as part of your ticket purchase, we are enormously grateful. Thank you. All proceeds raised during A Grand Night Out will contribute to the £500,000 Batersea Arts Centre needs to raise every year to run and develop programmes that contribute to our purpose: to inspire people to take creative risks to shape the future.

You will be helping us to run projects like The Agency, which supports young men and women from Battersea housing estates to develop their own social enterprises, and BAC Beatbox Academy, whose graduates recently created a 5-star show for the Grand Hall, support local people in south-west London to use creativity to change lives. All profits made from A Grand Night Out will enable Battersea Arts Centre to continue delivering and developing these projects with creativity and community at their heart.
