We are looking for an ambitious Press & Communications Manager to lead on Battersea Arts Centre’s overall press strategy, and to plan and deliver creative campaigns for a diverse programme of live performance, heritage, events and social change projects.
Battersea Arts Centre is at the beginning of a new era. In May 2019, we welcomed a new Artistic Director, Tarek Iskander. With the recent re-opening of our Grand Hall, our entire building (The Stage Award’s Theatre Building of the Year 2019) is now open for the public to explore for the first time in 12 years. In spring 2020, we will launch Battersea Arts Centre as a Relaxed Venue, alongside Tarek’s first season, Going Global. The press and communications campaign surrounding these launches are a key opportunity to make a real impact at an important moment in Battersea Arts Centre’s history.
With substantial experience in an arts and culture background, you will be a creative and collaborative big picture thinker with excellent people skills, strong relationships with journalists and an instinct for a good story. Playing a leadership role in the Communications Team, you will work closely with the Head of Marketing & Communications to develop Battersea Arts Centre’s core narrative, feed into our long-term communications strategy and position us as a destination venue.
If you are someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is keen to bring new ideas and put your stamp on Battersea Arts Centre’s next chapter, we want to hear from you.
