To celebrate coletivA ocupação's trip to the UK, we are co-hosting a National symposium on Young People, Art and Activism.

The two-day event in our Grand Hall will bring together young people from across the UK, to exchange creative practice, to support and inspire the ongoing development of new work.

This event will include keynote provocations from young people on 'The Art of Protest' plus workshops on theatre-making, activism and music.

This is an opportunity to break cultural, geographical and economic barriers, and enable a diverse mix of young people to develop their creative practice through connecting and creating with excellent and inspiring artists.

ACCESS INFO

Relaxed Performances

All performances will be Relaxed. At Battersea Arts Centre, this means that you are free to move about, make noise and come and go during the show. If you are late we will do our best to fit you into another slot if one is available, although we can’t guarantee this will be possible. It does not mean that light and sound effects have been changed. For more info, visit our Access Page.

All performances will be sensory-adaptive. The virtual reality headset worn throughout the performance will allow you to adjust the sound and light levels.

Step-Free Access
This event takes place on the first floor of our building, which can be reached via a lift. There is step-free access to Scratch Bar and ground floor public spaces. There are accessible toilet facilities across the building.
